On Saturday, April 29th, the Circuit Court of Marion County issued a warrant for Anthony D. Bell, 41 of Quincy Illinois, charging him with First Degree Assault, First Degree Burglary, and Armed Criminal Action. The charges stem from an incident that began on Friday, April 28th at approximately 10:56pm in the 1200 block of Sierra. Bell forced his way into a home and assaulted another male by stabbing him multiple times. Bell fled the scene and later turned himself in. The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Bell remains in the Marion County Jail and has no bond.
A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
