On Monday, August 23rd, 2021 at approximately 6:21 P.M. Officers with the Hannibal Police Department were dispatched to a traffic crash with injuries on US 61 near Highway MM. After arrival, Officers were able to determine a 65 year old man from Center, MO, had been operating a motorcycle traveling south on US 61 when he was struck by another vehicle causing the motorcycle to crash. The driver of the motorcycle had serious injuries and was transported by Marion County EMS to Hannibal Regional Hospital where he was flown to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, MO. The Hannibal Police Department was assisted by Marion County EMS and the Hannibal Fire Department.
