A warrant was issued by the Circuit Court of Marion County charging Donovan A. Cooper with First Degree Robbery and Armed Criminal Action.  Cooper’s bond was set at $100,000.00.  Cooper remains in the Marion County Jail. 

 

********ORIGINAL RELEASE********

 

On Monday March 23, 2020 at 9:54pm Officers were dispatched to a report of a robbery in the area of Hope and Griffith. Officers contacted the driver of a local taxi company who reported a male passenger displayed a handgun and demanded money. After obtaining money from the driver, the suspect fled the area on foot. A short time later officer located and arrested 21 year old Donovan Cooper of Hannibal for Robbery 1^st Degree and Armed Criminal Action. A handgun believed to be used in the robbery was also recovered. Cooper was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Marion County Jail pending review of formal charges. The Hannibal Police Department was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
