On Sunday, November 20, 2011 at 07:39am Officer’s of the Hannibal Police Department responded to the 400 block of Edwards Street to a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival Officer’s contacted a white male 52 years of age of Hannibal, in front of 421 Edwards. He advised responding Officer’s he had stabbed his cousin and that he was across the street. The victim of the stabbing was identified as Brandon Bowers 28 years of age of Hannibal. Bowers had a wound to his back and was transported by Marion County Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital and was admitted for treatment of moderate injuries. The suspect was transported to Marion County Jail on a twenty four hour hold pending warrant. A Warrant was issued on Roger William Bowen for the Class A felony of assault in the first degree, punishable upon conviction under section 558.011.1 (1), RSMO. (Range of punishment imprisonment in the Department of Corrections for a term not less than TEN (10) years nor more than THIRTY (30) years or LIFE IMPRISONMENT) , in that on or about November 20, 2011, in the township of Mason, County of Marion, State of Missouri, the defendant. Knowingly caused serious physical injury to Brandon Bowers by stabbing him with a knife. Bond was set at $100,000 cash only.

A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
