***Southside Neighborhood Watch Making A Difference***
Responding to a South Side Neighborhood Watch report of a suspicious vehicle in the 1600 block of Fulton Ave Wednesday night, officers of the Hannibal Police Department found Gary M George (46, of Hannibal) sleeping in his vehicle. After officers made contact with George, he was arrested for 2 counts of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance (marijuana), Interfering with Arrest and an active Municipal warrant. George was unable to post bond and released to the Marion County Jail.
“This is exactly what we wanted to see happen” stated Chief Lyndell Davis, “Neighbors looking out for each other and reporting what they observe to law enforcement.”
