On Wednesday, February 24th, Officers with the Hannibal Police Department Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad, (ACES) contacted a Monroe City man, who had an active Adams County IL Felony warrant, in the 200 block of Center St. The officers attempted to arrest 20 year old Kristopher E Lucas and he fought with officers. After a short struggle, Lucas was taken into custody. During the struggle, an ACES officer suffered a minor injury to his hand. The officer was treated at the Hannibal Regional Hospital and released. Lucas was arrested for the outstanding warrant, Resisting Arrest and Possession of a Controlled Substance. A warrant was later issued by the Circuit Court of Marion County, charging Lucas with Resisting Arrest and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Lucas bond was set at $25,000.00 cash only. He remains in the Marion County Jail.
