On March 15, 2015 the Circuit Court of Marion County issued a $50,000.00 cash only warrant on 45 year old Ronald J. Burks, of Hannibal for Domestic Assault 2nd Degree. The warrant stems from an incident occurring early Sunday morning (03/15/15) in which officers responded to a report of a suspicious female knocking on residents doors in the 2000 block of Kingshighway. When officers arrived, they contacted a 46 year old female who reported she had been physically assaulted by Burks and was in fear of returning home. The victim had visible minor injuries to her upper body and arms. Burks was arrested, without incident, at his residence and placed on a 24 hour hold in the Marion County Jail.
