Officers of the Hannibal Police Department were called to the to the 700 block of Church St Saturday (02/18/2012) afternoon after an anonymous caller reported a man was attacked with a knife. When officers arrived they contacted the 62 year old victim, who stated he had gotten into an argument with 27 year old Jack R. Blanke, of Hannibal. During the course of the argument, Blanke retrieved a knife from his bedroom and attempted to stab the victim with it. The victim was not injured and started wrestling with Blanke until the two were separated by a third party. Blanke was arrested without incident and placed on a 24 hour hold, in the Marion County Jail on charges of Assault 2nd and Armed Criminal Action.
