Officers of the Hannibal Police Department were called to the 1600 block of Fulton Ave Wednesday (February 8th) morning for a report of possible drug activity. Officers were told that three male subjects were seen carrying suspicious items into a shed and a short time later, witnesses could see thin, white smoke coming from the same shed. When officers arrived on scene they saw several items in plain view, which lead them to believe an active methamphetamine lab was in operation in the shed.  When officers attempted to make contact at the residence, two of the subjects attempted to flee by crawling out a second floor window and were apprehended without incident. Officers received consent to search the residence and the shed and located several items commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine. The three male subjects, 22 year old Adam Raithel, 18 year old Benjamin DeLaPorte and 18 year old George Clemons, all of Hannibal were arrested. Raithel and Clemons were charged with Manufacturing a Controlled Substance and placed in the Marion County Jail on 24 hour holds. DeLaPorte was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and released pending warrants.  On Thursday, February 9th, a warrant was issued on George Bryan Clemons, charging him with Manufacturing a Controlled Substance. Bond was set at $100,000.00 cash only.
