On Tuesday, April 20th at approximately 12:28 a.m. Officers with the Hannibal Police Department contacted a male subject in the 1900 block of Hope Street. The male, identified as Kalin M Anderson, 24 of Hannibal, had a city warrant for Assault. When officers attempted to take him into custody Anderson fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit Anderson was apprehended. A bag Anderson dropped while fleeing was recovered. The bag contained a semiautomatic handgun, a large sum of cash, and items believed to be fentanyl, cocaine and meth. Anderson was placed on a twenty-four hour hold and taken to Marion County Jail pending formal charges.

Tuesday afternoon a warrant was issued by the 10th Judicial Circuit Court charging Anderson with Drug Trafficking, two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. His bond was set at $100,000.00 cash only. Anderson remains in the Marion County Jail.
