On Sunday, November 19th, at approximately 5:44 p.m. Officers with the Hannibal Police Department were called to a domestic disturbance that was occurring inside a vehicle leaving the Casey’s parking lot on McMasters Ave. Witnesses had reported seeing a woman yelling and trying to exit the vehicle as it was driving away. A witness continued to follow the vehicle until officers arrived. Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens in attempt to stop the vehicle. The vehicle fled and officers pursued until the driver, Charles J. Scott, 50 of Quincy, fled from the vehicle in Riverview Park. Scott was located in the bushes and taken into custody without further incident. Scott had two outstanding Felony warrants, one from Adams County Illinois for Fraud and one from Marion County Missouri for Stealing. Scott was taken to Marion County Jail; additional charges could be filed at a later date. The female in the vehicle was unharmed and did not request any medical attention.
