On Tuesday March , 2, 2020 a criminal arrest warrant from the 10th Judicial Circuit, Marion County was issued on Culp for Assault 1st Degree Class B Felony ,Unlawful Use Weapon Class E Felony and Armed Criminal Action. . His bond was set at $100,000.00 cash only he remains in the Marion  County Jail.

Hannibal Police Officers responded Monday, March 2, 2020 at approximately 11 am to a report of a domestic disturbance at 7 Wauneta Place. Upon officers arrival they contacted a 27 year old male in front of the residence who had a visible injury to his head. The subject stated his girlfriend’s father  had assaulted him with a hammer; other family members stated the suspect wouldn’t cooperate or come out of the house. While speaking with the victim the suspect attempted to release a pit-bull dog  on the investigative officers and then fled  back inside the residence. The victim was transported by Marion County EMS to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment. Family members present where able to gather the pitt-bull up and secure it. The subject refused to come out of the residence and after around an hour and a half standoff he surrendered. Arrested was Robert A. Culp Jr. 42, of Hannibal, he was arrested on an outstanding Missouri Probation and Parole Absconder warrant no bond. He was transported and released to Marion  County Jail  on the warrant and pending charges for Assault 1st Degree Class B Felony ,Unlawful Use Weapon Class E Felony and Armed Criminal  Action.  The Hannibal Police Department was assisted on scene by Turning Point Recovery and Mark Twain Behavior Health.
