On Monday, April 13, the Marion County Children’s Division notified detectives with the Hannibal Police Department of an unresponsive seventeen month old child. The child was initially taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital by private vehicle. Due to the serious injuries the child had suffered the child was later flown to a St. Louis area hospital. During the course of the investigation detectives went to the 1100 block of Union and took Thomas P. Willemarck, 22 of Hannibal, into custody. Willemarck was taken to the Marion County Jail and placed on a twenty-four hour hold pending formal charges. The child is in critical condition.

On Tuesday, April 14, the Circuit Court of Marion County issued a warrant for Willemarck. Willemarck is charged with three counts of Felony First Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. His bond is set at $100,000.00 cash. He remains in the Marion County Jail.
