On Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at approximately 6:42 P.M., officers with the Hannibal Police Department were dispatched to the Hannibal Inn (4141 Market Street) in reference to a burglary. The owner of the business reported a male subject was inside attempting to steal items. When officers arrived, they located a 40 year old white male who locked himself inside a small room. The male who has ties to the Hannibal, MO and Quincy, IL area was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Marion County Jail and placed on a twenty four hour hold pending issuance of a warrant. The Hannibal Police Department was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Marion County Sheriffs Department.
