On Thursday, July 28th Detectives with the Hannibal Police Department took a juvenile into custody for burglarizing two area businesses over a two- day period. The first incident occurred on Friday, July 22nd at approximately 3:30am. The juvenile located an unsecured door at a closed business in the 3600 block of Stardust. While inside the store the juvenile took several items then exited the store. The second incident occurred on Saturday, July 23rd. The juvenile entered a business in the 500 block of the Huck Finn Shopping Center during regular business hours and hid as the business closed for the evening. Once the employees had left the juvenile attempted to break into the firearm display but was unsuccessful in obtaining any firearms. The juvenile then removed other items from the store and left the area. Items taken from the store were recovered. The juvenile was transported to a juvenile detention facility by the 10th Circuit Juvenile Office.
