A warrant was issued by the Circuit Court of Marion County charging Roy. G. Darnell with Assault Second Degree, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Darnell’s bond is set at $50,000 cash only. Darnell is still housed in the Marion County Jail.

On Wednesday, April 08, at approximately 1:05 a.m. officers were called to the 1200 block of 36th Street for an assault. It was reported to officers that a 36 year old Hannibal man had been stabbed. Roy G. Darnell, 61 of Hannibal had fled the scene was located a short time later. Darnell was taken into custody. Darnell was taken to the Marion County Jail and placed on a twenty-four hour hold pending charges. The victim was transported by EMS for treatment of injuries.
