On Thursday, February 11th, at approximately 5:13am Officers with the Hannibal Police Department responded to Becky Thatcher Restaurant, 213 N 3rd, for a report of a burglary. Officers contacted an employee who arrived for work and found a male lying naked on the floor under insulation from the ceiling. The male, identified as Brian A. Griggs 34 of Hannibal, had forced entry into the business and caused extensive damage while inside. Griggs was taken into custody without incident. He was taken to the Marion County Jail and placed on a twenty-four hour hold pending formal charges.
Thursday afternoon the 10th Judicial District of Marion County issued a warrant for Griggs charging him with Burglary. His bond was set at $25,000.00 cash only. Griggs remains in the Marion County Jail.
