Officers of the Hannibal Police Department responded to the 100 block of Pioneer Trail Thursday night at 7:55 p.m. for a report of gun shots. When officers arrived on scene they learned there had been a physical altercation between two subjects. During the altercation one subject pulled a handgun and fired several shots. It is believed no one was hurt from the gun fire, but one subject was transported to the hospital, by private vehicle, for injuries received during the altercation. The subject who fired the weapon left the area prior to officers’ arrival. This incident remains under investigation and more information will be released at a later time.
