On Thursday, May 19th Detectives with the Hannibal Police Department went to a residence on Homestead and arrested Amanda L. Stuart, 40 of Hannibal. Stuart had multiple warrants issued by the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County for Deceptive Business Practices and Stealing. Detectives began their investigation involving Stuart approximately nine months ago. They received a complaint from an individual who resided in the state of Louisiana. The complainant indicated Stuart was selling items on Facebook and never sent the product after the payment was made. After an extensive investigation, detectives had located over thirty victims across the county. Stuart was taken into custody without incident. The investigation is ongoing. Stuart’s bond was set at $25,000.00 cash or surety. She remains in the Marion County Jail.
