On Monday, August 16th, 2021 at about 1:53 PM Officers from the Hannibal Police Department responded to a reported two vehicle traffic crash near the intersection of US 61 and US 36. Upon arrival it was found both vehicles, a Ford F250 and Semi-tractor and trailer, were disabled. The Ford, driven by a 59 year old Hannibal man, had been traveling east on the off ramp from US 36 to turn north onto US 61 when it lost control and struck the front of the semi-tractor, which was driven by a 44 year old man from Granite City, IL traveling south on US 61. Neither of the drivers reported serious injury and both vehicles were towed from the scene. The Hannibal Police Department was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, the Hannibal Fire Department, and the Missouri Department of Transportation.
