On Friday, November 24, 2017, at approximately 12:44 pm officers of the Hannibal Police Department responded to the area of US 61 and Stardust Drive in reponse to a report of a traffic crash with injuries. An investigation revealed a 1997 Mercury Sable, driven by an 17 year old female from Hurdland, MO, traveled onto US 61 from a private drive in the path of a 2007 Mazda, driven by a 35 year old male from Hannibal, resulting in a crash. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene. The female driver was transported by ambulance to the Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.
