Officers of the Hannibal Police Department Patrol Division responded to an accident involving a pedestrian and three vehicles near the intersection of US 61 and Westover.  It was reported a 2008 Toyota Sienna mini van driven by a 53 year old Chesterfield, MO woman struck a 52 year old Hannibal man who was walking in the inside southbound lane of US 61 near Westover, crossing the highway traveling east.  After the Hannibal man was struck he fell onto the roadway where he was struck a second time by a 2004 Toyota Avalon driven by a 23 year old Palmyra woman after her car was struck from behind by a 2013 Ford F150 driven by a 17 year old Hannibal man.  The pedestrian was flown from the scene by Survival Flight to the University Hospital in Columbia, MO.  The 17 year old and his 16 year old passenger were transported by Marion County Ambulance to the Hannibal Regional Hospital with minor injuries.  The 23 year old Palmyra woman was transported to the Hannibal Regional Hospital by private auto to seek treatment for minor injuries.  The driver of the van made no complaint of injuries.  All three vehicles were towed from the scene.  The Hannibal Police Department was assisted on scene by the Hannibal Fire Department, Marion County Ambulance, MSHP, and the Ralls and Marion County Sheriffs’ Departments.
