At approximately 12:05 a.m. Monday morning, Officers of the Hannibal Police Department received information of a possible methamphetamine lab in a hotel room in the 600 block of Mark Twain Ave. Officers contacted the occupants, 33 year old Heither L. Williams and 37 year old Donald R. Williams, both of Hannibal and received consent to search the room. Items commonly used in the production of methamphetamine as well as a small amount of what is believed to be methamphetamine were located in the room. Both subjects were arrested and charged with Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The suspects were placed on 24 hour holds at the Marion County Jail pending warrants.
A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
