On Monday, 09/04/2017 at 1:09 pm, Hannibal Police Officers assigned to the Anti-Crime Enforcement Unit (ACES) executed a search warrant in the 400 block of North 8th. During the search officers located a firearm, Substances believed to be narcotics (heroin) and marijuana, items consistent with the distribution of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Devontae D Ecford, 25 years of age, and Dashawn C. Eaves, 20 years of age, both of Hannibal were taken into custody. Dashawn Eaves was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Eaves was released pending prosecutor review. Devontae Ecford was arrested for possession with the intent to distribute, felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, two Missouri State warrants for traffic violations and a City of Hannibal warrant for failing to comply with court orders. Ecford was transported to the Marion County Jail on a 24 hour hold pending review of the Marion County Prosecuting Attorney, David Clayton.
