Two Hannibal men arrested for Robbery

On September 11, 2012 warrants were issued by the 10^Th Judicial Circuit Court charging Jesse G. James and Grant A. Baker with Robbery 1^st Degree (a class A felony) and Tampering with a Victim ( a class C felony). Bond was set at $100,000.00 cash only. Both James and Baker remain in the Marion County Jail.

Monday (September 10) night, Officers of the Hannibal Police Department received a report from a subject that he had been assaulted and robbed at his residence, in the 2100 block of Hope St, earlier that evening. According to the victim, two subjects entered his residence while he was sleeping and assaulted him. The subjects took the victims wallet, ATM card and stole his vehicle. Officers were able to locate the stolen vehicle and both suspects, who were taken into custody. 22 year old Jesse G. James and 23 year old Grant A. Baker, both of Hannibal, were charged with Robbery 1^st degree, Felonious Restraint and Tampering 1^st degree and placed on 24 hour olds at the Marion County Jail pending warrants.
