Early Monday morning Officers of the Hannibal Police Department responded to an apartment in the 400 block of N. Arch to follow up on a report of trespass. When Officers approached the apartment, they could smell a strong odor of marijuana. The residents of the apartment were contacted and the apartment secured while a search warrant was obtained. A short time later the Officers executed the search warrant and located several items of drug paraphernalia, items used in packaging and distributing marijuana and a small amount of marijuana. Arrested on charges of Possession of A Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia was 23 year old Darren L Gibbons of Hannibal. Also arrested was 21 year old Megan L Garrett, of Hannibal, on charges of Interfering with an Arrest. Both Gibbons and Garrett were released on summons.
