On October 5th, 2016 a warrant was issued in by the 10th Judicial Circuit Court, charging Brian M Martin with Trafficking in Drugs near a School, a Class A Felony and Distribution of a Controlled Substance, a Class B Felony. Martins bond was set at $100,000.00 cash only. He remains in the Marion County Jail.

At 10:05 p.m. Tuesday night, Hannibal Police Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Lyon St for a disturbance. When officers arrived on scene, they found a 26 year old Hannibal man with multiple puncture wounds to his torso. The victim was in a vehicle with two other subjects, who were attempting to transport him to the hospital. According to witnesses, the victim and Brian M Martin (51, from Olathe KS) ot into an argument. The victim attempted to hit Martin with a metal pole and the two began to struggle and fell to the ground. At some point in the altercation, the victim received puncture wounds to his body and was in the process of being taken to the hospital, by private vehicle, when officers arrived. The victim was flown to Blessing Hospital in Quincy IL by Life Flight. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a large amount of ICE methamphetamine. Martin was arrested and placed on a 24 hour hold for Distribution of a Controlled Substance and Trafficking a Controlled Substance. Latrisha M McMillen, (36 of Hannibal), was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance. She was released pending warrants. The investigation into the victims’ injuries is in progress and further charges may develop.
