Two Arrested For Firearms Incident on Vermont Street
On Friday January 24th, 2025 warrants were issued in the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County charging Jordan L Mayo (18), and Bryan J Wisdom (18) with Unlawful Use of a Weapon. The warrants were a result of an investigation from Thursday, January 23rd when Officers with the Hannibal Police Department were dispatched to the 1400 block of Vermont after a resident reported their house was struck by gunfire. During the investigation it was determined the gunfire was a result of an unrelated disturbance on South Arch where another house had also been struck. Mayo and Wisdom were arrested on Friday without incident and a firearm was recovered. No residents were injured as a result, and both subjects remain in the Marion County Jail being held on $100,000.00 cash only bond.
A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
