On Monday, January 25th, at 8:31 a.m. officers with the Hannibal Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle failed to stop and officers were able to utilize a tire deflation device to stop the vehicle. The driver, Stephen M. Snyder 33 of New London MO, fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit Snyder was apprehended by the Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad, ACES. Snyder was found in possession of a large quantity of a crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine. He was taken to Marion County Jail and placed on a twenty-four hour hold pending charges. A warrant was issued by the 10th Circuit Court of Marion County charging Snyder with Trafficking Drugs. His bond was set at $50,000.00. Snyder remains in the Marion County Jail.
