The Hannibal Police Department where called to the 900 block of Union Street on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 2036 in reference to a vehicle accident with injury’s. During the investigation is was determined that it was one vehicle roll away accident. The vehicle a 1993 Gray Pontiac Bonneville registered to Ronald Cox of New London was apparently parked facing up the street on the opposite side of the roadway. Three male juveniles ages 9, 6 and 4 of all Hannibal where apparently playing inside the car, apparently one of the juveniles knocked the shifter out of park and into gear and the vehicle started rolling backwards down the hill. The juveniles attempted to exit the car while it was rolling and two of them sustained injury’s. The 6 YOA male was trying to get out a window when he struck a sign on the side of the roadway, he was airlifted to Blessing Hospital due the injury’s he sustained. The 4 YOA male suffered injury’s when he exited the car and was transported by Marion County Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital. The Police Department was assisted by the Hannibal Fire Department and Marion County Ambulance.
