On Monday, October 23rd 2017 at 3:44 P.M. Officers of Hannibal Police Department were called to 229 N US 61 (KFC) in reference to a one vehicle crash. Upon arrival officers discovered a silver colored 2005 Ford Ranger pickup driven by a 98 year old white male from Hannibal had been traveling south bound on US 61 near RT MM when the vehicle made a rapid left turn into the parking lot of Cassano’s (2860 James Rd). The vehicle traveled back north on Cassano’s parking lot running through a chain link fence and ultimately striking the south west corner of KFC causing damage to the structure. The driver of the vehicle was transported Marion County Ambulance Services from the scene. The Police Department was assisted by Hannibal Fire Department and Marion County Ambulance personal. This accident remains under investigation.
