On Saturday, July 21, 2018, at approximately 9:34 am officers of the Hannibal Police Department responded to the area of Highway 79 and Center Street in response to a report of a one vehicle traffic crash with injuries. An investigation revealed a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 39 year old female from Hannibal, was traveling north on Highway 79 just south of Center Street when it ran off the west side of the road colliding with a traffic signal post and another light post. The female driver was transported by ambulance to the Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.
