On Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 4:11 pm, Officers with the Hannibal Police Department responded to a traffic crash in which a vehicle struck the building at Abel’s Quick Shop, 2859 James Road.
A 1999 Ford Escort driven by 19 year old Jerred White of Hannibal was traveling east on MM and turned right onto US 61 South. Jerred’s vehicle pulled into the path of a 1999 Ford Taurus driven by 38 year old Justin Schaffer of Hannibal. Schaffer’s vehicle struck White’s vehicle causing White’s vehicle to lose control and strike the front door of Abel’s. There were no visible injuries to any of the involved parties and no one was transported for medical attention. The Hannibal Police Department was assisted by Hannibal Fire Department.
