At 8:43 p.m. Thursday night, officers of the Hannibal Police Department responded to the 600 block of Center St for a report of a passenger car and motorcycle traffic crash. When officer arrived they found that the driver of the passenger car, Christina S Conlin (46 of Hannibal) was traveling the wrong way on Center St and struck the motorcycle, driven by a 57 year old Hannibal resident. The driver of the struck motorcycle suffered significant injuries and was flown to University Hospital in Columbia Mo. Conlin was arrested and placed on a 24 hour hold at the Marion County Jail, pending charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Assault 2nd Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. A passenger in Conlin’s vehicle, Geronica A Blakenship (22 of Hannibal) was also arrested on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Blakenship was released pending prosecutor review. This incident remains under investigation and further information will be released if appropriate.
