An officer with the Hannibal Police Department stopped a vehicle for speeding on US 61 near Fair Oaks. The vehicle had been reported stolen from Ohio. Elayyan was taken into custody without incident. The St. Louis Office of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement was contacted. Elayyan was reported to have entered the US from Mexico illegally. His bond for Tampering was set at $10,000.00 cash or surety. The US Department of Homeland Security will take custody of Elayyan for removal proceedings under the Immigration and Nationality Act.
