On Wednesday, September 4th the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County issued a warrant for Dylan R. Zimmer, 18 of Hannibal, charging him with Receiving Stolen Property. The charge stems from an incident that began on Tuesday, September 3rd at approximately 5:44 p.m. Officers were notified Zimmer had stolen a vehicle from St. Francois County Missouri and was believed to be traveling to Hannibal. It was also reported that there were firearms and medications inside the vehicle. At approximately 7:48 p.m. officers located the vehicle unoccupied in the 1900 block of Chestnut. Officers saw Zimmer exit the rear of a residence in the area and was taken into custody without incident. Officers were given consent to search the home. Medications and firearms were recovered during the search. Zimmer’s bond was set at $25,000.00 cash or surety. He remains in the Marion County Jail.
A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
