On Saturday, January 9th, at approximately 4:23p.m. Officers with the Hannibal Police Department were called to a domestic disturbance in the 900 block of Taylor. Officers discovered a 22 year old Hannibal man that had what appeared to be stab wounds. Jimmy D. Atteberry Jr., 27 of Hannibal, was taken into custody. He was taken to the Marion County Jail and placed on a twenty four hour hold pending charges. The victim was transported by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.
On Sunday a warrant was issued by the Circuit Court of Marion County for Atteberry. He was charged with Domestic Assault, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Atteberry’s bond was set at $50,000.00 cash or surety. He remains in the Marion County Jail.
