A warrant was issued Wednesday afternoon in the 10th Judicial Circuit Court on Joshua S. Miller, of Hannibal, charging him with Sexual Misconduct 2nd Degree. Sexual Misconduct is a Class B misdemeanor punishable with up to 6 months confinement in the County Jail or fine of up to $500.00 or a combination of fine and Jail sentence within that range. Bond was set at $5,000.00 cash only. Miller remains in the Marion County Jail

Officers of the Hannibal Police Department were called to a report of a suspicious person  at approximately 5 pm on Tuesday.   A female caller reported that a male in a truck had  been following her in the area of Veterans Road while she was out jogging.  At one time during the report she advised that the male was naked and standing on the side of the  road.  A short time after the call was made to dispatchers; officers located the female, a  15 year old Hannibal resident and transported her home while other officers searched for  the suspect and conducted an investigation.  A short time later the suspect was found in  the area of Sherwood Estates and taken into custody.  The suspect is a 33 year old rural  Hannibal man.  He was arrested on charges of Sexual Misconduct and taken to the  Marion County Jail pending formal charges being filed.  The Police department would  like to compliment the victim in this case as she remained calm and provided pertinent  information to dispatcher so the arrest of the suspect could be expedited.  Assisting in the  investigation was the Marion County Sheriff Department.
