Officers of the Hannibal Police Department were called to the 1400 block of Vesper Saturday night for a complaint of a loud party. When officers arrived they discovered a large party and several minors drinking alcoholic beverages. Officers contacted the occupants and wrote 26 citations for Minor Visibly Intoxicated. Several other subjects fled on foot and were not identified. The subjects cited ranged in age from 17 years to 20 years old and reside in Hannibal and New London. All suspects were released on a summons.
A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
