On Tuesday, March 2nd, Officers assigned to the Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad (ACES) executed a narcotics search warrant in the 1900 block of Chestnut. Anthony E. Williams, 28 of Hannibal, was taken into custody without incident. During the search a substance believed to be heroin and items consistent with the distribution and sale of narcotics were located. A stolen handgun was recovered during the search of the residence. Williams was taken to the Marion County Jail and placed on a twenty-four hour hold pending charges.
On Wednesday, March 3rd, the 10th Judicial Circuit of Marion County issued a warrant for Williams. He was charged with Manufacture of a Controlled Substance, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Stealing. His bond was set at $50,000.00 cash. Williams remains in the Marion County Jail.
