On Friday 05/05/2017 Hannibal Police Officers with the Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad (ACES) executed a search warrant for narcotics in the 400 block of South Griffith. During the course of the search cocaine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were located. As a result of the search Ramonda Acheampong (62) of Hannibal, and Andrew Newton (26) of Hannibal were arrested. Acheampong was charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), while Newton was charged with possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were released pending warrants or court appearances. The Hannibal Police Department was assisted by the Ralls County Sheriff’s Department K9 Unit.
