On Sunday November 4th, 2018, warrants were issued in the Circuit Court of Marion County, Missouri against Ahmed and Rachel Elder.  Ahmed Elder is charged with two counts of Trafficking Drugs-2nd Degree-Over Statutory Amount, one count of Trafficking Drugs-2nd Degree, and one count of Deliver Controlled Substance.  His bond is set at $100,000 cash only. Rachel Elder is charged with two counts of Trafficking Drugs-2nd Degree-Over Statutory Amount, and one count of Deliver Controlled Substance.  Her bond is set at $100,000 cash only. Both subjects remain in the Marion County Jail.

On Saturday, November 3, 2018 the Hannibal Police Department’s Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad (ACES) conducted a search warrant at 503 N Hawkins.  Officers conducted a vehicle stop of Ahmed H Elder, 39 years old of Hannibal, shortly before the warrant was served at his residence.  Elder initially fled in his vehicle then stopped a short time later and was taken into custody.  During the search of the home the following was located: (Estimated totals)

  • 5.9 pounds of methamphetamine
  • 1.2 pounds cocaine
  • 36 pounds of marijuana
  • $83,000 in cash
  • 3 handguns

A search of the vehicle Elder was driving yielded another significant amount of methamphetamine.  Rachel E Elder, 41 of Hannibal, was also taken into custody. Ahmed and Rachel Elder were transported to the Marion County Jail.  They were placed on 24 hour holds for charges of Trafficking of Methamphetamine, Trafficking of Cocaine, Distribution of a Controlled Substance (marijuana) and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.  Ahmed was also charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Possession of a Defaced Firearm.  The Hannibal Police Department Special Response Team and the Missouri State Highway Patrol K9 assisted in serving the warrant.
