Officers of the Hannibal Police Department were called to the 600 block of Church St Wednesday night for a report of a domestic disturbance. When officers arrived they made contact with an adult female, who had visible injuries to her torso. The victim reported she had been assaulted by her husband and restrained from leaving the apartment or contacting the police. The officers placed the suspect, 28 year old Ronald L. Hill Jr of Hannibal, under arrest. Hill became combative with officers and when placed in a patrol car, he injured himself by head butting the interior of the vehicle. Hill was transported to the police department where he continued to fight officers and attempt to injure himself. After being booked on charges of Domestic Assault and Felonious Restraint, Hill was transported to the Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Hill continued to be combative and uncooperative with officers and hospital staff. Hill was sedated and admitted for observation. The female victim was transported to the Hannibal Regional Hospital by EMS for treatment of minor injuries.
