On Thursday September 18, 2014, officers of the Hannibal Police Department assisted agents with the U.S. Marshall Service in the apprehension of a suspect wanted in IL on warrants for Armed Violence, Aggravated Battery, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Gang Member. Officers received information the suspect, 29 year old Tynell R Washington of Quincy IL, would be at 202 Steamboat Bend. Officers arrived on scene and located Washington in the parking lot of Steamboat Bend Shopping Center. When Officers approached Washington, he fled on foot. After a short pursuit, Washington was apprehended and taken into custody. Washington was released to the Marion County Sheriffs Department.
