3 Arrested for Multiple Reports of Property Damage

Hannibal officers arrested (3) suspects early Wednesday morning for felony property damage. Officers began receiving multiple reports of property damage shortly after 5 am and followed up on a hunch which lead to the residence of one of the suspects on Shepherd Drive where officers arrested (2) suspects at 6:27 am. Another suspect was located at his residence on North 8th. The suspects were described as two adult males and one juvenile male with ages ranging from 21 to 15 all of Hannibal. As of this release Hannibal officers have received 30 reports of property damage to vehicle windows with locations scattered throughout the community. Any further victim of such damage is encouraged to contact the Hannibal Police Department. Further information and updates concerning these incidents will be released as is deemed necessary.

***Update***

Warrants  were issued for the following:

Dylan J. Mardis, 21 of Hannibal.  Charged with one count of Tampering 1st degree (Class C felony).

Shaquille D. Burton, 17 of Hannibal.  Charged with one count of Tampering 1st degree (Class C felony).

The 15 year old  juvenile taken into custody was released to the 10th Judicial Juvenile Office.

Both Mardis and Burton were released to the custody of the Marion County Sheriff Department where they remain on $50,000 cash only bond on each them.

HPD has now received 33 reports related to this investigation regarding damage to vehicle windows.

A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
