At approximately 5:23 p.m. Saturday evening Officers of the Hannibal Police Department responded to a report of a strong chemical smell stemming from an apartment in the 100 block of N. 11th. When they arrived on scene they discovered a strong chemical odor and items commonly used in the production of methamphetamine. This investigation is on-going and arrests are pending. More information will be released as it becomes available.
A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
