On Saturday evening an Officer of the Hannibal Police Department observed a vehicle driving erratically away from a known drug area. The vehicle parked in the 400 block of Munger Lane and the officer made contact with the driver, 36 year old Scott W. Bryan, of Palmyra, Mo. After receiving consent to search, a Missouri State Patrol K9 unit was called to the scene and alerted on the vehicle. Bryan was also observed attempting hide something in his sock. After being told he was under arrest, Bryan attempted to fight the officers, who used a TAZER to subdue him. A small amount of what is believed to be heroin and a small amount of what is believed to cocaine was located on Bryan. Bryan was arrested and charged with (2) counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Resisting Arrest. Bryan was placed on a 24 hour hold in the Marion County Jail pending warrants.
