On Tuesday, October 18th, an arrest warrant was issued in the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County charging Todd C. Haynes Jr. (22) of Hannibal, with Assault 1st Degree. Haynes was arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Monday as a result of the Hannibal Police Department’s investigation from October 9th. Haynes is being held in the Marion County Jail on no bond

On Thursday October 13th, an arrest warrant was issued in the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County, charging Kaelin L. Rickey (26) of Hannibal, with Murder 2nd Degree. Hannibal Police Detectives arrested Rickey on Wednesday as they continue their investigation. Rickey remains in the Marion County Jail and is being held with no bond. Detectives are still actively investigating the case and more information may be released if deemed appropriate.

On Tuesday October 11th, warrants were issued in the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County charging Jordan A Payne (27) of Hannibal with Assault 1st Degree. A warrant was also issued on Thomas D.C. Payne (29) of Hannibal, charging him with Assault 1st Degree. Bond was set at $100,000 cash only and both subjects remain in the Marion County Jail. The subjects were originally taken into custody on Monday as part of the investigation.
Detectives are actively investigating this matter and more information may be released at a later time.

On Sunday October 9th 2022, the victim of the assault which occurred in the 100 block of North Main died from their injuries. Detectives from the Hannibal Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Department, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control conducted their investigation. On Monday, four subjects were taken into custody as a result of the investigation.
On Monday, warrants were issued in the 10th Judicial Circuit of Marion County charging the following subjects:
· Tiara T Bonner (26) of Hannibal, Murder 2nd Degree
· Jason D Anderson (24) of Hannibal, Murder 2nd Degree
Both are being held without bond and were transported to the Marion County Jail. Two other males involved in the incident were placed on a 24 hour hold pending review by the Marion County Prosecuting Attorney.
Detectives continue to conduct their investigation and more information may be released as it is deemed appropriate.
ORIGINAL RELEASE
On Sunday October 9th 2022, at approximately 1:50am, NECOMM dispatched officers to the 100 block of North Main for a report of an assault. Upon arrival officers located a male victim who had sustained serious injuries. The male was transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital and later to a trauma center for treatment. The Hannibal Police Department is actively investigating the matter and is asking anyone who may have been a witness to contact the department at 573-221-0987 or by submitting their information online at www.hannibalpd.com. More information may be released as it is deemed appropriate.
A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
