O’Connell Charged with Murder

On Friday, May 19^th, Robert J. O’Connell, 36 of Hannibal, was arrested by Detectives with the Hannibal Police Department on a warrant issued by the 10^th Judicial District of Marion County. O’Connell was charged with First Degree Assault and Second-Degree Murder. The charges stem from an incident which took place on January 25^th involving the death of Taurean Snoddy. O’Connell is being held in the Marion County Jail with no bond. Detectives have continued to work diligently on this case to ensure those involved can be held accountable for their actions.

A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
