On Tuesday, June 11th, the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County charged James Troy Noland Jr, 19 of Hannibal, with Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Defaced Firearm, and three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Monday, June 10th in the 2000 block of Chestnut. At approximately 3:51pm officers were called to a report of a male sitting in a vehicle displaying and pointing a rifle at people in the area. The male, identified as Noland, was located nearby and an AR-15 was seen in plain view inside his vehicle. A search warrant was obtained for Noland’s vehicle and residence. Officers located substances believed to be methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, unidentified pills, and a handgun with a defaced serial number. Noland’s bond was set at $100,000.00 cash only. Noland remains in the Marion County Jail.
A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
